About Vaccine Simultaneous

Studies have found that administering multiple vaccines at the same visit is safe and effective. Combination vaccines like DTaP IPV Hib HepB hexavalent reduce injections. Studies show that simultaneous vaccination does not overwhelm the immune system. Infants encounter thousands of antigens daily. Because of advances in vaccine technology, current childhood schedules contain far fewer antigens than the vaccines of earlier decades, such as whole cell pertussis vaccine, which alone contained thousands of proteins. The immune system can respond to multiple vaccines simultaneously without reduced efficacy. Delaying vaccines by splitting them across visits, known as alternative schedules, leaves children vulnerable during the delay. Dr Bob Sears popularized an alternative schedule, but the AAP and CDC do not endorse it. Alternative schedules increase the number of visits, reduce timeliness, and may reduce completion rates. Simultaneous vaccination is standard practice endorsed by WHO, CDC, and AAP.
