About Vaccine Myocarditis Natural

Most studies comparing myocarditis risk from COVID vaccination versus COVID infection found that the risk from infection is higher. A 2022 CDC study found that among males aged 12 to 17 the risk of cardiac complications was higher after infection than after mRNA vaccination, though the size of the difference varied by age and dose. A large Israeli study in the New England Journal of Medicine found myocarditis to be more common after infection than after vaccination. Despite this evidence, the higher myocarditis risk in young males after mRNA vaccination led some countries to prefer the Pfizer vaccine over Moderna in this age group, as the risk appears dose dependent. Some parents remain concerned about the myocarditis risk, contributing to lower COVID vaccination rates in adolescents. Comparisons of vaccination and infection risks have been central to policy decisions.
